- Primary strategies for reducing the need for restraint, forms, language & managing aggression
- Understanding the law & guidance (duty of care, & reasonable force), managing personal space
- Physical intervention techniques including safe holding, breakaway & disengagement
- Medical risks associated with restraint (including risk of positional asphyxia)
- Minimising risk of harm to self & others

Course Requirements: You must be 18 or over to attend this course and physically fit as there will practical exercises.
Course trained to Restraint, Restriction Network (RRN) standard.
